Used as many inexpensive and off the shelf parts as possible and kept the only custom aspect (the case) extremely simple and press-fit
Ate the delicious products of the system once it had been tested
This unit uses the Ardunio, open-source hardware platform, as the basis for the hardware build. Due to the high availability and low prices of these boards, this represented a cost and time saving for me. This also keeps the hardware costs extremely low. Arduino is a mass-produced component which is accessible to all. All circuit diagrams are free and have been made open source.
